Get to know Marcel

Welcome to Marcel for Woodstock a platform that makes it easy for people to connect with him.

The Illegal Dumping on Church Road

Marcel has been fighting to seek remediation for the contamination on Church Road known as the Shady Dump.  He has provided the Woodstock Environmental Commission (WEC) and the Town Board with critical information regarding the Church Road issue. In response, the commission took steps to reopening the door to find a solution to this critical issue.

PFAS contaminants in the  municipal water system.
Marcel has been an an active member of Woodstockers United for Change (WUC) and informed the Town Board of the PFAS contaminants present in our municipal water system.  Together with the WUC,  they are working to get testing of the municipal water system back to a quarterly schedule as it was previously. Additionally, Marcel has been working with the Drinking Water Source Protection Program (DWSP2), a program which to safeguard the aquifer. He was named to the Management Team of this program.

Zoning
Marcel has substantial knowledge of the zoning laws and will seek fair and equal enforcement for all residents.

Marcel has the experience

Through operating his business “Woodstock Dirtworks”  (a Woodstock based excavation company) he has a combined experience of over twenty years of property and facility management, including the maintenance at the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild. Marcel has vast skills and knowledge which he can apply to understand the needs of Woodstock’s infrastructure, buildings and grounds.

These combined skills represent a much-needed skillset to offer the Town Board if elected.
